DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
The to-do list. The racing thoughts. The feeling that you're still somehow not doing enough.
You're the one who holds it all together for everyone else. You say yes when you mean no. You keep going because stopping feels worse. And underneath the composed, capable woman you've convinced everyone you are, your brain is racing so fast and so loud you can’t slow down.
You’re stuck in survival mode.
Coping got you this far. But if it was enough, you wouldn't still feel this way. It's not that you're not doing enough — it's that you need something different.
MEET THE THERAPIST
Hi, I’m Grace
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Charlotte, NC, specializing in helping chronically exhausted, overwhelmed, and overfunctioning women who feel like they're hanging on by a thread.
Anxiety, perfectionism, and ADHD are what I specialize in, but I also know what it’s like to be on the other side of the therapy room. I know what it’s like to sit on that couch, say the hard things out loud, and realize that what you’ve been brushing off as “just stress” actually makes sense and that there’s a way through it.
I don’t believe therapy should be stuffy or stiff. My sessions are conversational, warm, and engaging, often incorporating humor and a little sarcasm so you can actually look forward to showing up and talking about the hard things. Therapy is for you, and I’ll meet you where you are so it feels safe enough to say the things you’ve been keeping bottled up.
Black Magnolia Counseling Services is rooted in the values of compassion, acceptance and inclusivity. Therapy should always be a space where all individuals feel safe, seen, respected, and valued.
